Points that are easy to miss
- WVDEP reviews and approves the SWPPP with the application; work follows the approved plan (Part III.A).
- A Qualified Person must inspect newly installed controls before earth disturbance starts (Part II.G).
- Quarterly employee training must be logged in the SWPPP (Part II.H.3.b.7).
- Discharging while fees are unpaid counts as operating without a permit (Part III.D.2).
What a SWPPP Desk plan covers here
We prepare a site-specific plan written to WV0115924, with each section mapped to the permit part it answers. You, the operator, review and sign it and keep it on site.
Checkout open in West Virginia. State ruling: Sell. The site check on the plan page applies these conditions before payment. See coverage.
What we do not do
- Our plans are not sealed or stamped. BMPs that need design calculations, such as sediment basins and post-construction practices, come from your design professional.
- The operator signs the plan and is responsible for it.
- We do not visit or inspect sites.
- We do not file the NOI or any permit application for you. We tell you which form and portal the permit names.
