What should a SWPPP inspection form include?
A SWPPP inspection form should capture what your permit requires in each inspection report. Under Texas TXR150000 that means the inspection date, major observations (erosion and sediment discharge locations, BMPs needing maintenance, failed or inadequate BMPs, and where new BMPs are needed), actions taken, a non-compliance statement or compliance certification, and a signature. For EPA-permitted areas, EPA publishes its own Site Inspection Report template. TXR150000 Part III.F.8(f) EPA
This is a general guide. It uses the Texas permit, TXR150000, as the worked example. Requirements differ by state: check the construction general permit that covers your site, or EPA 2022 CGP where EPA is the permitting authority.
